Introduction

Young people aged 10–24 years old are faced with many reproductive health problems such as unwanted pregnancy, abortions, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV which progresses to AIDS.

In the preceding sessions you have learned what should be done to help young people have good sexual and reproductive health. The reproductive health (RH) problems of young people are mainly addressed through AYRH programmes that are implemented at community level.
