Module 1. IPC-WASH in the Context of COVID-19

Elements of chain infection transmission:

• Five tiers of hazard control (highest to least effective): Elimination, Substitution, Engineering control, Administrative control and Personal protective equipment (PPE).
  
• Breaking the chain of infection is a key here.
  
• Risk communication and community engagement is a critical component of the response to COVID-19. It helps people make the right decisions about how to protect themselves, when to seek care, and to avoid contributing to panic about the disease and its effects
  

Practical (15 minute): Group work to discuss on portal of exit and entry of Covid and prevention methods across the chain.
